I am happy the forum is up again!

Some things I have seen on other sites that are good:

A link to a person's forum posts fom their profile.

The ability to be notified of replies on topics you have started or posted on, and the ability to choose either onsite or email notifications or both.

Thank you! I hope the suggestions are helpful!

Thank you for the feedback, I think those are great ideas, we'd love to implement them. However at this time we cannot make any promises regarding if and when it will be implemented because there's so much to do in so little time :-)

Are there any updates on the suggestions made? They sound like good ideas indeed.

Unfortunately we can't provide any update yet. To be completely honest, currently our development priorities tend to lean towards the 'matching' and 'contacting other Christian singles' (one on one) part of cMatch.

The links to forum posts and ability to get notified of replies do sound like good ways to let people see what those making the posts believe and would contribute to people getting to know each other better. It would certainly let people know what someone actually believes when engaged in a given topic.

Also, it'd be nice if your team could be more transparent about the following (and if it's already the case, please point me in the right direction):

    • Prioritized Features: You could get a better idea of which features might be more valuable to users if you let users up-vote them, etc.
    • Documentation of Matching System: Clearly documenting how the matching system actually works and how to properly interpret results would be a good addition. I've seen some profiles with a lower percentage be ranked higher than other profiles with a higher percentage number.

It's not at all obvious to me why the last point actually happens. While the system might be taking many things into consideration, having a good understanding of how the system works would help build trust in it, IMHO. Currently the logic behind the matching system is a mystery, and I wish that weren't the case.

    Thanks.

We don't plan to create an extensive voting system, but we do constantly monitor the site's usage and request/receive feedback from singles. Those results/suggestions are often incorporated, one way or another.

On our help pages we reveal some details about the matching system. However, we don't want to reveal all. It's our secret recipe ;-) But most of all, we don't want users to try to rig the match system.
