I have realised that most people do have these habits in church especially while listening to sermons.I find it displeasing to God.What are your views on the same?

I do believe that those things are quite disturbing. Although those things should be "common knowledge" it should still be re-iterated from time to time from the pulpit that we aught to have better manners in the presence of Christ.

I am a youth leader at my church and all of my teens would never disrespect God by using their phones during service.  I see nothing wrong with chewing gum if done in a respectful way.

It is very disrespectful towards the one holding the sermon and towards God to use your telephone during the service. Chewing gum is fine for me as well, but only if you don't disturb others with that. People, especially the ones that go to church, should have more respect.

I think it is terrible that so many people cannot live even an hour without their telephones. It has become an addiction. I see it all the time; parents walking on the street or ride a bus with young children, and don't talk to the kids, but only look at their phones. People live in a social mediabubble and become very selfish. They don't even see what goes on in the real world anymore. It is a disease.
