    "Come and eat breakfast,”
Were the words of the Master Chef
As He sat on the shore and fried fish.

    “Come and eat breakfast,”
Were the words of Heaven’s Servant
As He sat on the ground and worked hard.

    “Come and eat breakfast,”
Were the words of their Best Friend
As He sought re-connection with His men.

    “Come and eat breakfast,”
Were the words of the God of mercy
As He saw their fatigue & supplied their break.

    “Come and eat breakfast,”
Were the words of the forgiving Brother
As He saw past their desertion and reached out.

    “Come and eat breakfast,”
Are still the words of the Master Chef
As He stands by our sides with fresh manna.

    “Come and eat breakfast,”
Are the words of Heaven’s Servant
As He joins us on the ground, working hard.

    “Come and eat breakfast,”
Are the words of our Best Friend
As He seeks unbroken connection with His kin.

    “Come and eat breakfast,”
Are the words of the God of mercy
As He sees our fatigue and meets our needs.

    “Come and eat breakfast,”
Are the words of the forgiving Brother
As He sees past our sin and reaches out.

    Will we come?
